SITQ obtains Quebec’s first Go Green Plus certification for Centre CDP Capital
Centre CDP Capital, an SITQ property, has been awarded Go Green Plus certification by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), becoming the first Quebec recipient to be recognized by this prestigious environmental certification program. The certificate was presented to SITQ today at a business luncheon at the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal.
“We are very proud to see our environmental efforts acknowledged under the Go Green Plus program, especially given that we have the first building in Quebec to meet these new performance standards,” said Guy Lamarre, General Manager, Real Estate Management, SITQ. This certification underscores SITQ’s commitment to the environment. All of the buildings in SITQ’s Quebec portfolio were certified Go Green in early 2005.
The Go Green Plus environmental certification program is Canada’s only national standard for existing buildings. Go Green Plus provides building owners and managers with a detailed benchmarking and scoring system for environmental standards. It also gives them a set of very specific questions that enable them to assess the components needed to achieve industry benchmarks.
