The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec announces the appointment of William R.C. Tresham as SITQ President and CEO

Daniel Fournier, President of the Caisse’s Real Estate group, is pleased to announce the appointment of William R.C. Tresham as President and Chief Executive Officer of its real estate subsidiary, SITQ. This appointment is effective immediately. Mr. Tresham was hired recently as Chief Operating Officer, SITQ Office Real Estate.
 
“Mr. Tresham has all the qualities of a great builder and leader, outstanding strengths of his predecessors, Fernand Perreault and Paul Campbell,” said Mr. Fournier. Over the past 26 years, these two men successfully built a solid company with a tradition of excellence, making SITQ a real estate leader in North America and Western Europe.”
 
“Mr. Tresham is the ideal candidate for this position,” said Fournier. “He is a seasoned real estate executive with both private-public sector experience and an excellent knowledge of North America’s main office property markets. Above all, living and working in the United States for nearly a decade enabled him to develop close contacts and a keen understanding of the major U.S. market.”
 
Paul Campbell resigned from his position as SITQ President and CEO after nine years and will act as an advisor to the Company. “Under Mr. Campbell’s leadership, SITQ saw tremendous profitability growth and stood out in the Real Estate group. We are very pleased and privileged to continue benefiting from his expertise,” said Mr. Fournier.
 

 Mr. Tresham was recently Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Callahan Capital Partners, a private, Chicago-based real estate firm. Previously, he headed Trizec Properties for five years inMontreal and six more in Chicago, before it was bought in 2006. Mr. Tresham holds a Bachelor of Law from McGill University in Montreal and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton Universityin New Jersey. He speaks fluent French and English.
